This could be the year that Minnesotans can buy their liquor on a Sunday and drink it in a park, too. Minneapolis City Council Member Jacob Frey is planning to introduce an ordinance allowing alcohol in the Commons park in front of U.S. Bank Stadium — the idea being that people will be able to bring their own wine or beer to drink in the park on designated days. “I envision a regular Wednesday night movie in the park, where you bring a picnic blanket, a pastrami sandwich and a bottle of wine or a six-pack of beer with some friends,” Frey said. Frey first proposed allowing liquor at the Commons in August 2016. The proposed ordinance will come up for a public hearing in April along with other general rules for the park. Concession restaurants in Minneapolis parks are allowed to sell beer and wine, and alcohol can be served at permitted events. The Commons is overseen by the City Council, rather than the Park Board, so rules for alcohol consumption there will not impact the rules at other parks.
Frey will formally introduce the proposed ordinance at the council’s next regular meeting on April 14. 2 men, 2 women arrested in Bloomington shooting death ID'd: 12-year-old who drowned in western Minnesota lake channel Dreaming of taking a semi full of booze? Jewish holiday of Passover begins with traditional Seder meal Miss Minnesota USA's first contestant with Down syndrome We are flying in to MCO and want to pick up some liquor on the way to our hotel to take on our Disney Cruise the following day. I have absolutely no idea where to stop as we are coming from Australia. Ususally best to get some from a shop near your hotel, or stop at a grocery store/liquor stor on the drive on the way to your hotel. You dcon't wat to or need to stop near the a/p. You could buy some duty free when leaving and use that. Liquor needs to be bought at a liquor store.
Usually, ABC has a good selection. Since I don't know where you are staying, it is hard to give a recommended location. Beer and wine can be bought at all kinds of places: Publix, ABC, Walmart , most Walgreens (several locations for all four), and about every convenience store. Publix usually has a decent selection of wine as does ABC. If you want to go off the beaten path, the Total Wine on East Colonial Drive has a massive wine selection, alcohol, and a decent beer selection. If you are staying near the Sand Lake/International Drive area, Whole Foods has a great wine and beer selection (although not cheap). One attraction mentioned in this post Ranked of 421 things to do in Orlando when you come onto mccoy / sand lake rd ,there is a 7/11 on the left... Please tell us where you are staying and if it is beer and wine as in your title or liquor/hard alcohol as in your question as it all makes a difference I don't think you can take liquor with you onto the cruise so you might not want to purchase too much.
I would contact Disney Cruises directly to verify. There is a Public on Hoeffner Blvd about 2 miles from the airport-its off Semoran Blvd. there is a Walgreens on Semoran Blvd about 1 mile north of the hotel comples(TG Lee Blvd) Both are convenient and reasonable though i think Walgreens only has beer and wine Sorry I meant Publix on Hoeffner Blvd not Public I've never been on a Disney cruise but most don't allow you to BYOB with the possible exception of a single bottle of wine or champagne. When we bought cheap booze in Mexico our boat held it for us till the end of the cruise and returned it at departure. We were allowed to bring bottled water though. Nice clear bottled water-looks just like Grey Goose ;-) Edited: 12:33 pm, April 18, 2011Here's what Disney Cruise Lines has to say! Alcohol is permitted on board. However, be aware that any fragile items (including bottled alcohol) must be hand-carried on board in a day bag and/or carry-on bag, the dimensions of which cannot exceed 22" wide, 14" high and 9" deep.
Guests who arrive in the dining room with a bottle of champagne or wine that has been brought on board will be charged a corking fee of $20.00 per bottle. Thank you all so much for your advice! We will either be staying at the Hyatt in the airport or Crown Plaza Universal. Thought it would be nice to sip some beverages on the cabins verandah but not have to pay Disney Prices. A few nice beers and some champagne or sparkling. I really appreciate all this info, you guys are great! Taking £3000 in dollars from U.K., how would you take it?
