For the second year in a row, Hunter's Wines have won the Trophy for Best New Zealand Sparkling Wine at the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships 2016. Hunter's MiruMiru™ Rosé NV, a new release in 2015, has taken the honours. This was on the back of two Best in Class awards for Best New Zealand Vintage Brut Blend and Best New Zealand Rosé for the Hunter's MiruMiru™ Reserve 2011 and Hunter's MiruMiru™ Rosé NV respectively. The trophy was presented at a black tie gala dinner held at London's Vintner's Hall where Wholesale Director, Michael Robins, of Hunter's United Kingdom distributor, Laytons, was on hand to collect the spoils. Hunter's MiruMiru™ has grown exponentially in recent years and has quickly become a benchmark for méthode traditionelle wines in New Zealand. Jane commented, "I've been wanting to make a sparkling rosé for many years before this came to fruition.
