Was worried in waiting area as there were some people who I definitely would not want to be sitting near. But ended up at a lovely table by ourselves with no screaming children near us. Waitstaff very knowledgeable and efficient. Food was excellent as was the wine. But we're tourists here!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. We took a Dinner train, in the Vista Dome car. Im a bigger guy, but there are plenty bigger than me, and I found the tables MUCH to tight, and extremely uncomfortable. It was also very hot in the car, at least the night we were there. The pacing of the meal was very slow, the whole trip takes like... The welcome area is nice and we'll organized. We enjoyed individual glasses of welcome Chardonnay and cheese platters in a viewing car as we headed north for an hour or so. On the return we went 3 cars down for a lunch from a nice selection of choices that were very nicely prepared. The train is kid friendly but they... We had lunch in the Napa wine train. The food, desserts and service is amazing.

The food was good. The staff was fun. We stopped at 4 wineries. I really liked 3 of them 1 was ok.but the other 3 were great.

The price isn't cheap but worth it if you've never done something like this . I had the salmon my husband the chicken both were good . My husband says it wasn't enough food for the price . The tour was interesting but because I'm not... We were recommended to do the wine train and I'm so glad we made the effort to get there. The checking process was a breeze and the boarding lounge nice and comfortable. The boarding process was quick and seamless. The only negative was the obligatory photo stop on the way to the carriage. But that was only minor and we... Seeing the beautiful Napa Valley can be over-whelming.

So seeing it with a wonderful relaxing lunch with the views of the valley & delicious food makes for a unique way to have an over all experience ......and wine!
