As a large waterpark, I was a little skeptical about the quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of indoor and outdoor pools and baths.

The themes were quirky but only novelties. I only had time to try the waterpark that included the "coffee", "green tea" and "pancake" theme hot pools but what really blew me away was... The Hakone national park offers an amazing variety of things to do. From a cruise on lake Ashi to a cable car ride which culminates in the steam vents at the top of the mountain, this area is worth a half day trip. We went to Yunessun since my sister's family told us that they had a great time last year. If you are into amusement parks you will have a great time here. I am a nature type person so this was a little too made up. Basically this is Vegas/amusement park/pools. It was very cold outside (10C) and my feet were... The Yunessun is a hot springs resort in Hakone. The trip itself is great and very picturesque, as it is along the coast; think the Pacific Coast Highway with a bigger road and fewer curves. The Yunessun has a large number of different pools to try, both indoors and out.

Some of the staples include sake, coffee, wine, green tea,... With my children ,i stayed approximately 2 hours. First we enjoyed several baths ex coffee bath, green tea bath, wine bath and so on indoors. It's more of a theme park than natural hot springs, and I know that doesn't sound better but all the hot springs have different themes like red wine, ramen, and green tea. Wasn't expecting to go nude here. But as is custom, when in Rome, etc. etc. I hope there are no security cameras for there may be unaccustomed photography. This was a very natural and relaxing day for me I paid about 5,000 jpy for my ticket and enjoyed hours of hot spring and hot baths as well as...

This is a great place for couples and families to have a fun day. We enjoyed time in several different hot springs (hot tubs). Maybe my favorite was the wine tub featuring a huge wine bottle continuing to pour fresh wine/water into the tub. Sometimes it got a little crowded, but people were continually moving around and we found some... This is a great place to relax. Best for nature-scene lover. Mountainous, foggy, and chilly. Indoor flavored pools are great. Hot water temperature is soothing. The crowd is distressing though. Swim wear rental is over-priced.
