6 Chicago restaurants make Wine Enthusiast's 100 Best list If you're wondering where to find the best wine in Chicago, Wine Enthusiast is here to help. The magazine just released its list of America's 100 Best Wine Restaurants of 2016. Six Chicago restaurants were included, which is a big increase over the four that made the cut last year.Sepia and Spiaggia remained on the list, while Blackbird and Balena fell off. The new additions: Intro, Maple & Ash, Osteria Langhe and Parachute. For example, Osteria Langhe was celebrated for its "amazing laser-focused wine list," while Sepia was noted for its "excellent by-the-glass program." 17 Stellar Wine Deals in New York City Summer is a great time to look for wine deals in the city, as restaurants look for ways to entice customers inside. But who can keep track of all the different details? Have a good tip for us about a special wine deal? 1 Big Bottle Glasspours at Bar Boulud Head Sommelier Michael Madrigale announces via email and on his Instagram @mikemadrigale which big bottle (magnum, double magnum, or bigger) he will be offering by the glass each night. Glass pours are generally $29 or less, and the value for the dollar is usually strong, with many super prestigious bottles having been opened over the years. Every night is a different selection, and glasses are offered until sold out. 2 The 9 p.m. Pour at Aldo Sohm Wine Bar A large format bottle (magnum or larger) is opened and poured by the glass starting at 9 p.m. each evening. A different selection is poured each night, and announced via Instagram @sohmbar. Prices vary with the wine, but Sommelier Aldo Sohm tries to keep the tariff low.

This is a rotating selection of wines that normally wouldn’t be opened for by the glass pours because there are few bottles available. Prices range from $11 to $15 per selection, and a wine is poured until it runs out and is replaced by another. 5 Champagne Happy Hour at Marta Sommelier Jack Mason selects a different prestigious Champagne to pour from magnum each Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The price is kept low; generally $15 to 17 per glass. 6 Champagne Made Me Do It at Piora A Champagne is selected each week and announced by email and on Instagram @champagnemademedoit.

9 Half Off Bottles at Fifty Paces Selected bottles of wine are half off all night long on Sundays and Mondays, and every Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. There are also $8 glasses of wine and $5 glasses of sherry every night from 5 to 7 p.m. [Photo: Wine Down Sundays at Asellina Select bottles of wine are 50 percent off every Sunday at Asellina. Monday Industry Night at Osteria Morini Soho From 9 p.m. to close on Monday nights, all bottles of Lambrusco are $28 at Osteria Morini, and glasses of Lambrusco are $7. Happy Hour at MP Taverna Brooklyn During the 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Happy Hour, wine is 50 percent off at the MP Taverna in Brooklyn. Porrón pours at Tasca Chino Tasca Chino offers 2014 Ameztoi Txakolina poured from the glass porrón pitchers traditional to many regions of Spain. Drinking 3/4 of a liter of Ameztoi from the porrón spout costs $39, which is less than the normal cost for a bottle of the 2014. 5 4 $5 at Del Posto Every other Saturday features a drop in wine tasting opportunity at Del Posto. Guests get to try 5 different wine tastes, grouped by a different theme for each tasting, for only $5 in cash. The tasting starts at 1 p.m., and is led by a member of the Del Posto sommelier team.
