The wine then spent a few months on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouth feel.Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Nuffnang and Vinomofo. I was asked to give my opinion on buying wine through the Vinomofo website in exchange for a complimentary 6-pack of wine. I first bought wine through Vinomofo in 2013. Veuve Clicquot 2004 was selling at a crazy deal with free shipping and I couldn’t resist!

I’m not going to go into details about the history of the company but I would recommend having a read of their story on the ‘longest about page in the world’. It’s rather unique and highly entertaining. Kudos to all their cheekiness! And yes Vinomofo does stand for Wine Motherf**ker! So how did my experience go when doing this product talk opportunity? Grab a glass of vino and read on…
best wine restaurants nyc 2015 I’m no newbie to shopping for wine online, so it was a very straightforward process to order my Collaboration Case. I have to admit I do love all the puns and creative copywriting around the site which caused me to laugh out loud a number of times. Within my account I could easily check the status of my order and follow its journey to me easily. All up it was a pretty good experience. The Collaboration Case is available in either a 6-pack (approx $90) or 12-pack (approx $175).

And it is made up of wines Vinomofo co-produce under their own wine label called the Kinda Independent Wine Company. Their co-producers or ‘wine wizards’ as Vinomofo call them include; Innocent Bystander, Kym Teusner, Hither & Yon, De Bortoli, the Brand Family’s Estate in Coonawarra and more. These wines aren’t available anywhere else and I have to admit the names of some of them definitely up the ante on being risqué! And you know what, I love it! As you know my whole philosophy as a wine blogger is to encourage everyone to drink what they like. There are still so many wine snobs out there who try to dictate what you should and shouldn’t like/say about a wine but at the end of the day you need to trust your own taste buds! If you enjoy a taste of The Orgy on a Saturday night, then do it! As I taste my way through the wines I will be adding my tasting notes to this post as well as sharing them across social media – so stay tuned! This Fanny Limehead 2015 Clare Valley Riesling is a collaboration between Vinomofo, Peter Treloar and the Penna Lane team.

$75 a 6-pack (which makes it a cool $12.50 per bottle). .au/vinomofo-australias-online-wine-black-market/ Very pale yellow on the eye with a come-hither nose full of candied citrus and green apples. It’s super vibrant and rather intoxicating. The palate follows suit with citrus and orchard fruits dominating. It made me think of a pear & lime cocktail in a sugar rimmed glass. Not bad at all! All opinions are based on my own taste buds. The nose is bit of a melon medley with honeydew, rock and watermelon coming through with a sprinkling of white pepper. Refreshing, bright and crisp on the palate with delicate oak complimenting the melon, pineapple and honey drizzled grapefruit flavours well.

Mr. Spittoon’s first impression of the nose was that it smelt of marmite! For me it was a pretty full on nose – after I got past the thought of marmite I picked up blueberry aromas and those chocolate licorice bullet lollies. On the palate it’s definitely a drink now Cab and it made me think of coffee and chocolate cake. Medium bodied and full of flavour. It is a collaboration between Vinomofo and Steve Webber from De Bortoli.

.au/vinomofo-australias-online-wine-black-market/ A light garnet shade on the eye. With a nose full of black cherry, liquorice and old books. The palate made me think of black jelly beans with its definite twang and I also picked up candied cherries with an earthy undertone and a sprinkling of baking spice. A great accompaniment to hot cross buns in my opinion ?
