The Man O’War Golf Course is a Par 71 course that opened in 1996. The course was designed by Dan Maples. The Head Pro is Steve Frishmuth and the General Manager is Randy Broughton. Man O’War is a course with very little roll.

This is particularly true in summer but throughout the year, and that means that even big hitters will find a challenge here. Lush, green and relatively flat, this may be what you call a typical Myrtle Beach golf course, and that’s a compliment. The course features amazing scenery. That and its layout helped it earn a four-star rating from Golf Digest. The signature holes on this course are the 17th and 18th. This is a fantastic one-two punch that can spoil the day of a golfer who’s otherwise managed to stay dry up to this point. The Man O’War Golf Course has electric carts, a driving range, a practice putting green, a Pro Shop, a snack bar, rental clubs, golf instructors, and servers beer and wine. The Man O’War course has a really cool looking clubhouse built over the lake with a nice outdoor deck. There are no caddies and no golf bag storage. It is highly recommended that a tee time is booked before hand. You may book via phone between 7am and 6pm or online.

A prepaid security deposit is required. Walking is not allowed. The dress code is regular golf attire. The course record of 65 is held by Richard Lee and Jeremy Pope. Events hosted at the Man O’War include the Gatlin Brothers Pro Celebrity, World Amateur, Capt. Daves Match Play Championship, and Outback/Leukemia Golf Classic. The Man O’War is built on a 100 acre lake and offers some unique features such as back to back island greens. The course was developed by Sandhills Links in Myrtle Beach.
