The Terraces is a Napa rarity these days - family operation, no flash and no corporate influence! The tasting crew tried the 2015 Bonfils CDRV back in March and its stunning beauty confirmed what we’d been hearing about 2015s in the Southern Rhone...a great vintage and perfectly ripened Grenache from sandy soils plus the backbone of 30% Syrah has yielded a wine that is among the most “delicious” Cotes-du-Rhones we have tried in a while!

best bars for wine londonIn many ways, a great Sancerre Rose captures the essence of how our “collective” palates are turning away from clumsy Chardonnays and heavy handed reds… and this is consistently one of the best Sancerre Roses on the market, and best values.

Come by for dinner, a bite at the communal table, or even just a glass of something-something at the bar.For the Love of Wine In June 2007, the plans of three wine-loving friends came to fruition. Little Gates & Co. Wine Merchants opened on South Center Street in Millerton. In 2011, we moved to 34 Main Street, where we remain today. While you will certainly see a few familiar faces on the shelves of Little Gates, our collection is mainly focused on hand-made wine of smaller production. We are selective about the importers with whom we work so that we are able to support sustainable farming practices and small vineyards producing carefully and traditionally crafted wines. Of course, if you are looking for a particular wine and don’t see it on our shelves, just ask. We are able to get you just about anything. We do not believe that buying wine needs to be intimidating or complicated. Nor should it necessarily be expensive. We have a thoughtful selection in just about every price range.

Each bottle on our shelves has earned its space by demonstrating itself to be the best made wine of a particular style in a particular price range. We have tasted every wine we carry, which means that we can offer you a level of service and guidance that is unparalleled in the area. Bring us your dinner plans and we will find you something great to pour. In addition to the 300+ wines from around the globe, we stock an interesting selection of fine spirits with an emphasis on local distillers. We have a bottle open every day for you to taste and larger tastings Saturdays from 2 to 5 p.m.NYC wine shops, a map from Dr. Vino Are you ever in a new neighborhood, looking for a bottle?
