Groceries, beer, wine to go: Free Wal-Mart curbside pickup starts Tuesday On Tuesday, Wal-Mart will offer same-day grocery pickup services at five South Florida Supercenters.The new perk lets customers order from among 30,000 items online and schedule a pickup time. Wal-Mart personal shoppers will then get to work selecting, packing orders and loading them into your car at a bank of designated spaces. You'll get a phone call when orders are ready for pickup.

The service will be available at Supercenters in Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, North Lauderdale, Lake Park and West Palm Beach. There are no plans to introduce the service in Miami, according to a rep.There is a $30 minimum order.Place orders by 2 a.m. for next day pickup between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.; orders placed by 10 a.m. will be available from 1 to 8 p.m., based on availability, according to a press release.Wal-Mart started rolling out the nifty service in Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and cities in Utah, Arizona and Colorado in late September.Chances are excellent it will catch on here.Online prices are the same as in stores and there is no subscription fee.
