Gnocchi (4)Wild Boar Stew (2)Duck Ragu (1)Grilled Vegetables (1)My friends and I all ordered the fish special which was served atop a bed of grilled vegetables and polenta. I do not normally eat polenta; but to my delight, it was absolutely delicious!! Every morsel of the entire meal was fabulous. And the price was reasonable for the quality of the food and the ambience. I will definitely be returning and will be happy to highly recommend the restaurant to others! The one just slightly disappointing note was that they had apparently run out of Sauvignon Blanc that day at noon and not purchased more. Presumably over time they will be better able to assess how much and which type of wine is required for their dinner patrons. Was this review useful to you?YesNoReport5545We enjoyed our evening had the ravioli and my husband had the gnocchi to start which we thought were excellent. For our main course we had wild boar stew and duck which is as good as we've had any where else. Service was very good we will be back soonWas this review useful to you?
Took 90 mins to receive main course. Wait staff adequate but not well informed.YesNoReport3412Although our server was friendly, he was quite flustered and disorganized. The food was underwhelming. One plate had no flavour at all while others were way over-salted. I was looking forward to the gnocchi but it was very mushy. We likely won't rush back which is unfortunate since it's so close to home!YesNoReport2522Great food and wine! The gnocchi was delicious! Had a lovely and very reasonably priced bottle of wine. Atmosphere a bit stiff... hoping it loosens up a bit in time.YesNoReport4234Booked this restaurant based on the interesting menu which seemed authentic Italian - rare in Ottawa. Unfortunately arrived to find our reserved table not available yet. Owner very apologetic and offered us prosecco and an appetizer at the bar while we waited. Very professional and a nice gesture. Once we got to our table and dined, were very happy. Started with the Pappardelle in Duck Ragu - excellent.
Followed this with Wild Boar stew on Polenta base. This dish was amazing! Very tasty and a large portion!! best vegetarian food with winePolenta was buttery and cheesy. new world wine awards results 2014Melt in your mouth so. where to buy old stone winery wineDessert menu again interesting. best tasting cheap sweet wineDelicious homemade Lemon Tart - very tangy and naturally flavourful.wine coolers uk onlyOnly negatives I'd say... best type of wine for dieting
Dining room was uncomfortably warm (prob due to open kitchen and proximity of ovens to diners - but a window could be opened a crack to solve this). wine bar ideas designsAnd wait staff seems rather inexperienced but hopefully as time goes on, given the newness of the restaurant, this won't be an issue.top 10 red wines of indiaOverall, this restaurant is a true gem and rarity in Ottawa. best wine deals on internetFrom someone who regularly visits Italy, this is definitely the closest thing to a restaurant in Italy Ottawa has ever had! Topping it all off are the very reasonable prices! Definitely reserve well in advance as restaurant is small and always full on weekends!YesNoReport5545Fantastic food, service and atmosphere - the best gnocchi and rabbit I've ever had!
Highly recommend this restaurant. It's an awesome addition to the neighbourhood!Consistent experience across all elementsWas this review useful to you?YesNoReport5444Great service, great wine list and menu. Looking forward to going back.YesNoReport5555Polished service even though open for less than a week. Excellent selection of Italian wines not commonly seen, and at great value. Menu with diverse, creative selections that cannot be considered as 'typical' dishes. As a group, we ordered fairly broadly across the menu and were very pleased with what was on offer. Casual feel to it; suitable for informal, business lunches or dinner.YesNoReport5455Unfortunately, the restaurant was still under renovation and not open. Strange that reservations can be made when the restaurant is not open for business. Also, when trying to confirm with the restaurant, only an answering machine saying they will return the calls. That did not happen. Not very professional or smart for a new restaurant trying to garner business.
Hopefully, they'll be better organized once they open.Freshen Up Your Bookshelf with the Best Spring Cookbooks for Chefs Octopus Pasta is a Perfect Pairing for Scotch What We’re Reading: Let’s Eat, Y’allThe 40 Restaurants We Love in 2017 The Best Things to Do in St. Louis This Week, April 28 to May 3 Two Guys and a Chick Sandwich Shop Is Now Open in Benton Park The South Rises Again to Give Earthbound Brewery One-Star Reviews 2:35 PM, Fri., April 28 The 10 Best Concerts in St. Louis This Weekend: April 28 to 30 10:14 AM, Fri., April 28 Documentary Show Me Democracy Tells Story of Ferguson Protests and Missouri Politics 10:01 AM, Fri., April 28 Whoa Thunder Is One of This Year's STL 77 7:13 AM, Fri., April 28 St. Louis Restaurants Openings & Closings: April 2017 6:40 AM, Fri., April 28 The Leonas Is One of This Year's STL 77 6:23 AM, Fri., April 28 St. Louis Blues Twitter Is Not Here for Your Racist Jokes
