In the United States, it's Cabernet Sauvignon. But not in Ohio. The findings are courtesy of wine.net, which analyzed Google data - 23 wine terms on Google Search Trends from 2004 to 2015. For Ohio, the site found the four most searched-for wines: Nationally, the popularity by varietal is: Ohio is one of eight states ranking Merlot as its top searched-for wine. Ohio's most widely grown grape, Concord, doesn't crack the top 20 nationally. Concord often is used in jelly and juices.
