Grotto Wine Bar is located in Cleveland’s historic Shaker Square neighborhood. The atmosphere indoors is romantic and inviting with stone pillars, arches and beige, faux-plastered walls. Grotto’s wine bar features a 1,000-bottle wine cellar encased in stone and brick. That big of a selection can make it hard to choose, but the staff is willing to help select a wine or match it up with a dish. Grotto Wine Bar features a well-rounded small plate menu with “piccoli piatti”dishes such as duck confit sliders, Kobe beef carpaccio and bruschetta. Grotto opens at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The kitchen is open until 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, midnight Friday and Saturday, and 10 p.m. Sunday. Market Avenue Wine Bar The Market Avenue Wine Bar is a small but cozy establishment located in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood. It is open 365 days a year and offers an extensive wine list, as well as tasty hors d’oeuvres.

The Market Avenue Wine Bar features more than 700 wines by the bottle and more than 75 by the glass. In addition, 50 craft beers are available. The menu, which features items from Cleveland’s historic West Side Market, gets raves for its baked almond Brie.
