Monday - Friday: 9.00 - 19.00 Telephone: 0207 283 0638 I have many years of experience working and studying in Retail, as well as the Hotel and Catering industries. In 2006 I enrolled to study for the WSET Intermediate qualification to learn more about the intriguing wine world.
Since then I have been working in the wine retail industry for the last five years (previously with Oddbins and now with Amathus) and also passed the WSET Advanced course. I like to discover and sell wines from everywhere in the world, and I am looking forward to taste the new wines we are going to stock from India. In my spare time I enjoy cooking matching and drinking wine and time and weather permitting sailing. Born into a family of butchers, I found myself taking the family business on to its fifth generation of trading, but not before I had a thorough grounding in all things meat based. Apprenticing throughout England I progressed as charcutier in Alsace, traiteur in Paris and after a period helping run the family business, chef in Barcelona. After nearly 20 years in the food industry I decided to move into wine, where, working in some of London’s finest wine shops I find myself continuing the theme here at Amathus. I have a love of all wine, but, for better or worse I remain a Francophile at heart, seeking out especially the wines of Alsace, Burgundy, the Rhone and the southwest and Roussillon.
My other passion is painting. I study art history when I can, while I juggle family life, work and supporting Peterborough United Football Club.
