wine bar nyc tripadvisor

We did the wine tasting with dinner and the server was efficient and friendly. $49 for two appetizers, two main entrees (we had shrimp linguini & chicken screwers over salad...both superb). Two bottles of wine to go are in on the deal too. I gave a low rating only because it was super loud. Speed drink 8 wines 4 red and 4 white and choose a few undercooked, small portion unappetizing entrees. Take home another bottle of wine. Lots to drink in record time. I bought the groupon deal advertised as $49 for wine tasting, appetizer, dinner for two w/ a bottle of wine. They offered the same deal to anyone who walks in except you got a bottle of wine per person. Wine tasting was terrible. Wine was very cheap and it was all the same wine, only switched between red and white.... The ambiance, wine and experience was excellent! The steaks were overcooked but everything else was spectacular! I went with 4 friends and we did the 2 for $49 wine tasting special. With that, you each receive: a small plate with cheeses and meats, an entree of your choice, and 6 different wines to taste.
Plus you each get to take a bottle home! And our waitress was fabulous. My girlfriend invited me to join her for the wine tasting she got on groupon.
I had been here a while back, and wasn't impressed, but I figured.. I have to say it was a better experience this time. The bar tender/server was really nice. He was going to have us wait to be seated because the table... So we bought a groupon for $29. Food value allegedly $49. We show up and there's a sign outside offering a $29 meal, exactly what we were getting. Where is the $49 value? To make matters worse, they claimed the meal was worth over $85 when it came time to tip. We always tip on the original value, not the... © 2017 TripAdvisor LLC All rights reserved. On an undistinguished block of new high rise apartment buildings, which replaced the gritty tenements of Hell's Kitchen, lies Ardesia, an oasis of civility, or at least of good wine and good mini bites. We had salads, both just fine. The draft Portland beer was refreshing and the Chardonnay quite good. The place has about ten small tables and bar...
We visited pre-dinner and could've stayed all night. The wine by the glass list is extensive and cocktails were excellent. The corpse reviver was noteworthy. We also had some of the snacks and the croquettes were the stand out. Good vibes and a great space. We tasted many tapas and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Great place for before or after the theatre. Great selection of wines. Mainly a Romantic/conversation kind of place with a date or with friends who likes low key lounge. Good selection of drinks for a small bar. Came here for some wine and apps on a Sunday early evening. Great vibes, the gouda cheese was amazing. We came across this place in the Time Out guide and I don't think we would have found it otherwise as it's a bit off the main part of Hells Kitchen. When we arrived though, we were happy we'd made the effort - great selection of wine, beer and food (the cheese sauce with the pretzels was something else!!) and... This spot is away from the crowded streets of Hell's Kitchen but close enough to get back into the madness of it.
The menu is ok. Not your typical finger good like gourmet fries or bruchettas. But somewhat some contemporary finger food. My wine was good but my friend's wine was smelly but tasted ok. However when we brought it... We decided to try this little wine bar and were not disappointed! The server made great recommendations and the cheese tray we ordered was incredible! We would visit this place again in a heartbeat! Everything tried was well prepared and tasty: garlic shrimp skewers, flank steak and pulled pork sliders. Not much in the way of atmosphere but the service was friendly and efficient. We went here for pre-theater even though it could be a bit out of the way if you're in a rush. But, if not, it's s good option if you're... Had lamb kabob and snap peas with ricotta. Tasty but would have preferred the lamb to be rarer. Are outside with neighborhood views. Will return with friends“Still at the Top of their Game” I was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant in Hells Kitchen.
If you want a post or pre meal for a Broadway show, I strongly recommend that you make a trip to Medi Winebar. The name of the place belies the fact that this is a very good place to eat. The Mediterranean food hits the spot. In the middle of the week, some friends of mine and I decided we wanted to go out for a nice dinner. I'd heard about this place and thought we would try it. For a wine bar, you would expect them to have a good selection of wines by the glass. Although there were a lot of bottles to buy,... I went here with my customers. Good place not very expensive for manhattan standards. We got few complimentary meatball quite good then we got salads pappardelle and octopus. The octopus is very very good. Place is nice not formal. Not to come back but worth a visit We made a reservation and went to this place for my birthday. We made a reservation in advance and were confirmed for the cellar (downstairs). On the day of reservation I called again to confirm and I was told that we had some issue with opentable and our reservation was lost - they will still accommodate us but not in...
It's a nice place for oysters and drinks in happy hour time (till 7 pm). The deal is $1 oysters. Drinks are also discounted. I had a Dirty Martini ($7). For the happy hour menu you have to sit at the bar. The manager is Italian and very friendly. I was happy with my meal, and will be back when... I've eaten here a few times and never had a dish that I wasn't happy with though it's not one of my favorites Medi is our go to spot in Hell's kitchen. Whether we go for a drink or to eat dinner this restaurant never disappoints. The wine selection is great. The food is outstanding and they have good happy hour deals on oysters and charcuterie plates during the week. This is a wonderful venue with indoor, outdoor, and cellar seating. The food was great and I really enjoyed my cocktail! The staff was wonderful and I met the director of operations, Chris, who was so kind and made the visit special. I cannot wait to come back for the dinner and shows in the cellar! Stopped off for a drink after some sightseeing.
